Revelation - The Second Trumpet - BP Oil Disaster

End Times NOW
The Book of Revelation 8:8 - 8:9
The Second Trumpet

"The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea became blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed."

HANDOUT - GULF OF MEXICO - APRIL 21: Fire
boats battle a fire at the off shore oil rig Deepwater Horizon April 21,
2010 in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Louisiana. Multiple Coast
Guard helicopters, planes and cutters responded to rescue the Deepwater
Horizons 126 person crew after an explosion and fire caused the crew to
evacuate. (Photo by U.S. Coast Guard via Getty Images)

"The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire".

The above photo shows the burning BP offshore oil rig 'Deepwater Horizon' taken on April 21, 2010. The boats shown are not fireboats, of the type that you might see in the harbor of New York City. These are ocean going oil rig supply/support ships that have water cannons mounted on them. The are massive ships several stories high and are much smaller then the burning offshore oil rig, whose size and flames and dark smoke rise maybe 50 or even 75 stories above the water. Saint John, who was the youngest of the Apostles, had his visions of the End Times when he was very old. If you understand that he was a man born about 2,000 years ago, in an age with hardly no technology, and was seeing visions of the far future and was attempting to describe what he saw, the above photo and his words 'fit' perfectly.

Horizon burns in the Gulf of Mexico April 21, 2010. A huge oil slick
remained offshore and largely stationary today, May 4, 2010, in a
development that should help cleanup efforts. (Photo courtesy Jon T.

"...was thrown into the sea."

This is a photo of the giant BP offshore oil rig 'Deepwater Horizon' falling into the sea. Almost as if an artificial mountain, at sea, was thrown into the sea.

Below: "A third of the sea became blood,..."

The color of the oil "spill" does look like blood, and someone who never saw crude oil upon the sea might well describe it as such.
